People Claims Division

Pandiman's Personal Injury Division handles all work involved with seafarers. Each Claims Executive is assigned a carefully drawn-up list of specific local manning agencies of which over 300 are based in Metro Manila area alone. Claims handled by the Division cover the following:

Illness
Death
Missing/Suicide
Altercation
Whereabouts of the crewmember
Piracy
Agrounding
Injury
Desertion
Sinking
Dismissals
Collision

The Division's Company Representative is responsible for meeting repatriates on arrival in the Philippines and escorting them, when necessary, to the medical facility.

Our Company Representative is also tasked with the meeting of remains arriving at the airport, liaising closely with local agents and family members at all times.

Specialized Divisions

Specialized divisions have been recently created within Personal Injury to enable concentrated and dedicated staff to acquire in- depth knowledge of their specified area.

Legal Division

The division liaises closely with Claims Executives in monitoring claims filed at the labor courts to ensure prompt updates of hearings and pleadings from our lawyers are promptly on passed to our principals up to the finality of the claim.

Medical Division

This division monitors medical updates and gathers medical data from medical reports issued by Pandiman’s accredited post medical P & I doctors for prompt reporting to the Owners/P & I Clubs. The medical division aids the Claims Executives in their over-all handling of P & I claims for Owners’ consideration.

Endorsement Division

The Endorsement Division closely monitors all related local expenses incurred on any given claim. If found reasonable, approval/letter of endorsement is issued to the manning agent concerned in accordance with the vessel’s terms of entry and Club’s rule for Owners’ ultimate indemnity from the Club.
